Barnett Crossbows
This was one of my favorite projects to date. In 2015, Barnett Crossbows approached me to help create a video that introduced one of their new crossbows to the market. In relation to hunting and just about anything we put effort into, it’s often the smaller things done well, that lead to our bigger gains. In this film, I wanted to contrast the smaller and more ordinary activities against the pressure of a final shot.
We spent 2 days scouting and filming in Southern Kentucky.
A big thank you to the producer Justina Whalen and hunter/talent, John Turner, for providing the hunting compound near the Cumberland River.

Jackson Boetls: An Arizona Artist
Jackson Boelts has been an artist, educator and designer for over 30 years and in that time he has won over 400 awards for his work. He has exhibited work in Moscow, Mexico City, Berlin, Warszawa, Chile, and numerous locations nationally. Jackson was my professor and had a large influence on my work while I was studying Art at The University of Arizona. I sat down with Jackson in the summer of 2015 to discuss his process, his relationship to his work and what excites him as an artist.

Kelcey Fisher & Route One Surfboards
Several years ago, 2 others and I started a project, ArtLifted, with the mission to help facilitate artistic growth in the underfunded areas of Southern California. In collaboration with our network of talented Artists, we sold unique artworks from each artist and donated a portion of the proceeds and our time to programs like P.S. Arts.
There is a lot of value in supporting programs like P.S. Arts and anything that harbors creativity. I myself still glean from important principles from my simple art classes that I had as a kid.
This piece was created for one of our collaborations between artist Kelcey Fisher and and Route One Surfboards.
